I've decided to keep this blog and redesign it instead of starting a new blog! In addition, blogposts that review stuff like movies or concerts will be 'outsourced' to other new blogs to avoid clutter haha...
In fact, I've spent some time working on a new movie review blog! Most or all of the movie reviews in this blog have been copied to http://yakmoviereviews.blogspot.com
Ok a bit of update now lol
Those observant enough will notice that my last substantive (substantive=epic) blogpost was in 09...this explains my busy-ness...oh wait...my busy-ness explains this...LOL...with all the Impresario stuff, 5 modules in the sem, and sleeping before 11pm
Now other than painting (which i've not been doing very often due to crazy canvas prices), I'm also into lomography which is another expensive hobby...in fact photography/lomography became sort of my extra elective this sem coz i've been researching on it during my free time LOL...
Its quite fun, addictive even, to not know how your photographs will turn out after taking them, until they are processed at the labs...this stuff is actually quite similar to trading card games, where you wouldn't know whether your rare card in the booster pack is awesome or crap...lol
I'm gonna set up another blog for my lomo films! In the meantime, here are some samples
Bought a Holga 120N from ebay...during the exam period LOL...and more recently, a White Slim Angel Ultra Wide and Slim from Action City...yes Action City! I was quite surprised they stock this range of cameras...WSA UWS is awesome stuff...simple and elegant...ULTRA WIDE 22mm power...with vignetting...
a bit underexposed, but negative films can take it!
nice flares!
22mm power!
Holga 120N is fun to use as well, its interesting when halfway through the roll, the film support sponges inside the camera loosen and get eaten up by the film...requiring some manual tinkering which I did in a dark wardrobe to unroll the film and retrieve the sponges...however, cross processing is epic stuff...and sometimes that one awesome pic in that roll of 12 or 16 exposures is worth it...and before you ask, the black dots in the pics below are most likely caused by the rebellious sponges XD
maybe the sponges were not so bad after all!
Holga bulb mode on Swarovski crystals
X-pro!!! :D
Ok! hope you enjoyed the pictures!
